ABSTRACT

The Gorikhovatsky Pond is a part of a network of artificial water bodies in the Gorikhovatka riverbed which is one of the river Lybid tributaries. It is located in the downstream part of the river and, therefore, it is potentially experiencing the greatest anthropogenic pressure. A significant contribution to pollution of this object makes its closely spaced highway, residential area and catering and leisure. In addition, the water level gradually falls because the metabolites of aquatic organisms settle to the bottom, creating swampy sediments.
