ABSTRACT
Pulse power was introduced in the 1930s with a capacitor discharge X-rays. Pulses of electromagnetic energy to provide power to the load device pulsed power means constituting the main pulse power device. Typically, it consists of several parts of primary energy, intermediate storage and conversion systems pulse shaping system. There are many sources of primary energy: the electric field in the form of energy storage capacitors or a Marx generator; a magnetic pulse transformer or inductor; moment of inertia of the various types of mechanical energy generators; chemical energy device; nuclear devices. Pulse power is applied in plasma physics and controlled fusion research, aspects of nuclear explosion simulations, flash X-ray radiography, high-power lasers, high-power microwaves, electromagnetic pulse, electromagnetic emission (or advance), particle beam weapons, and electromagnetic forming.
