ABSTRACT
Among the variety of architectural forms of roofing, domestic and world practice of building from timber demonstrates the practicability of construction of grid shells, laced – grid vaults and the like, as along with high aesthetic indicators, these structures work as effective spatial systems. The vault dimension and form optimization are dealt with in the paper.
