A Review of Some Recent Advances in Causal Inference

Causal questions are fundamental in all parts of science. Answering such questions from observational data is notoriously difficult, but there has been a lot of recent interest and progress in this field. This chapter gives a selective review of some of these results, intended for researchers who are not familiar with graphical models and causality, and with a focus on methods that are applicable to large datasets.
