ABSTRACT

ABSTRACT: This article deals with the buckling analysis of simply-supported cold-formed C-sections subjected to compression. A new type of thin-walled thermoprofile with reticularstretched perforations actively used in modern construction is considered. First the stability problem of a planar plate simply supported along the entire perimeter is solved to assess the impact of perforations on section web buckling. FE analysis was conducted to compare buckling resistance of a new profile with traditional thermoprofile with longitudinal perforations.
