ABSTRACT
The mining industry is the main source of raw materials for most sectors of the economy of Ukraine. At the same time, the exploitation of mineral deposits alters the natural groundwater dynamics, affects the atmosphere (dust, aerosol and gas pollution), land resources, as well as it negatively affects flora and fauna. The degree of such influence much depends on the method of mining and the effectiveness of environmental and resource-saving technologies applied at the enterprise (Коlеsnik 2014, Yurchenko 2010, Gorova 2013, Saksin 2005).
