ABSTRACT
In this chapter, we will rst introduce the properties of various uorescent probes, including probes suitable for two-photon, near-infrared, or super-resolution imaging. The labeling methods as well as the underlying bioorthogonal reactions will next be discussed, followed by some examples in which small-molecule labeling probes play a pivotal role in studying and solving biological problems.
