The health of the table tract is an integral part of good homeostatic control of the neurovascular unit, the immune and the nonimmune segments of the body, and the endocrine system. In fact, the integrity of the GI tract, especially the GI mucosa, receptors, and CT matrix, and its communication vehicle, the ground regulation system, is essential for health and normal total body function.
