ABSTRACT
ABSTRACT: The paper summarizes both a conceptual study on flood behaviour in the Reuss catchment area and various flood control projects along the Reuss and its main tributary, the Kleine Emme. To analyse flood behaviour in the Reuss system extended flood routing computations were carried out using a hydrological model. Possible flood control and flood protection measures along the Kleine Emme and the Reuss downstream of Lake of Lucerne are explained and future perspectives of flood management in the Reuss catchment basin are pointed out.
