ABSTRACT

The term “GHG footprint” refers to the total greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions that an individual or company is responsible for emitting into the atmosphere. Defining GHG footprint is the first step in reducing GHG footprint or going carbon neutral. Reducing GHG emissions requires measuring the emissions in specific areas and identifying the major GHG emitting activities. Based on the knowledge of themajor emitting activities and their impact on the environment, domain experts couldbuildquantitative models and propose solid mitigation strategies and plans.
