ABSTRACT
This chapter is intended to showcase the advances in stable isotope analysis (SIA) techniques since the publication of Forensic Human Identification: An Introduction (Thompson and Black, 2007). As such, the basic principles of SIA are only briefly described here. Those readers wishing for a more comprehensive review are advised to refer to the previous text, particularly the chapter by Meier-Augenstein (2007).
